🌿 THE GLOBAL MANGROVE INITIATIVE: PLANTING HOPE WHERE IT'S NEEDED MOST
We, The Exchange Church, are launching large-scale mangrove nurseries across Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, and South America – regions where coastal communities face urgent climate threats but lack resources. Our mission: grow millions of mangroves to absorb catastrophic CO₂, shield vulnerable shores, and fund critical projects for women, children, and local churches.

WHY THESE REGIONS?
✓ Southeast Asia:
- World’s highest mangrove biodiversity
- Very low labor costs ($5–10/day skilled workers)
- High community need + established church networks
✓ Caribbean:
- Severe coastal erosion crisis
- Affordable coastal land leases
- Strong diaspora funding opportunities
✓ South America:
- Government incentives for blue carbon projects
- igh-impact potential per hectare

IMMEDIATE COASTAL PROTECTION
Every mangrove grown:
→ Captures 1,000+ tons of CO₂ per hectare (5-10× forests)
→ Reduces tsunami/flood damage by up to 66%
→ Boosts fish stocks by 50% within 2 years

COMMUNITY FIRST IMPACT
Our nurseries empower through:
- Living-wage jobs for women in seedling cultivation
- 30% profits funding children’s education + church aid
- Land stewardship training creating long-term resilience
